The School/Uni Thread

The urban/suburban/rural preference is a key factor. I grew up in the suburbs and my college is in a rural area. Depends on whatever environment you feel most comfortable in, or in my case, which you would like to escape to given where you now live.

Might want to start by spelling college correctly. :p

Where I started was cities I visited and enjoyed, as well as places I had heard good things about. Do any of your friends have older siblings who went to college? Where did your parents go?

Also take stock of your academics and consider where you are likely to get in.

My Dad is from France and my mom went to the University Of Illinois.

I would not mind the east coast with Boston and New York.

I would not mind getting away from the local area. I wanted to try NYU but that seems to Ivy League. I may have good grades, but not that good.

Community college.

I do have good grades and honors. My grammar online is bad though.

or do like what I did...be cocky and only apply to one college

So .. going to university in a little more than a month to study Scandinavian languages. How metal is that, huh? ;)
But that's obviously not the motivation.

I have yet to decide wether I'll focus on Swedish or Norwegian though? Which is more badass? Vote!

(Danish is horrible so I'm not considering that at all.)

I never had an interest in the Scandinavian languages (or mythologies). But whatever floats your boat.

Another reason why I could never live in Scandinavia. I really hate winter. I want to go to college in the Caribbean.
