Everyone is different, but I would recommend considering places other than your home town. Really opens up a new world.
I need to start looking for collages soon. Not sure where to start.

Might want to start by spelling college correctly.
Where I started was cities I visited and enjoyed, as well as places I had heard good things about. Do any of your friends have older siblings who went to college? Where did your parents go?
Also take stock of your academics and consider where you are likely to get in.
The urban/suburban/rural preference is a key factor. I grew up in the suburbs and my college is in a rural area. Depends on whatever environment you feel most comfortable in, or in my case, which you would like to escape to given where you now live.

You don't have to tell me the answers, I'm just saying those are good places to start.My Dad is from France and my mom went to the University Of Illinois.
I would not mind the east coast with Boston and New York.

Another reason why I could never live in Scandinavia. I really hate winter. I want to go to college in the Caribbean and end up dropping out because I will end up spending more time drinking than studying
