Trivium can at least write a decent song. The song 'Strife' is better than anything Manilla Road ever did.

Just finished listening to this song and it's a 6/10. Manilla Road has at least several 7+/10 songs.

It can't be worse than Mystification. I'm on track 5 right now and so far there are two 4/10s, one 3/10, and one 2/10.

EDIT: This is lame but in a good way. Sappy whiny shit that doesn't offend me for some reason. I've probably heard this in the background of some amateur porn video. Nostalgic vibes. The guitar harmony 2 minutes in is nice. The poppy key change at the end is they only weak part. A strong 6/10.

Masque of the Red Death is pretty good. Another nice example to demonstrate the USPM influence on Coroner.

I swear I've already heard Death by the Hammer three times on this album.

MYSTIFICATION used to be my second favourite but i've come to realise it doesn't quite compete with the three before it, maybe not a couple of the others either. i was a little duped by the better production i think. still good though. top 3 would be 'children of the night', 'spirits of the dead' and 'up from the crypt' for me. i do think stuff like 'valley of unrest' and 'death by the hammer' is a bit naff.

Though in fairness that was my first time hearing that album in full (at least iirc), and while I've definitely heard Masque a few times before I didn't remember the other two. Everything else is a 4/10 or lower in my estimation.
