The best anime show is Azumanga Daioh (works much better as anime than manga) because it is genius.

The best anime movie is Appleseed (the 1988 version obv). Because Shirow rules and it was the first anime I watched, bought it on VHS way back. The Appleseed manga also rules (the first manga I bought too!). Totally not biased!

Appleseed and Ghost in the Shell are pretty good. My favorite animated version of Ghost in the Shell has to be Stand Alone Complex. It's a perfect blend of the manga and the movie's tone.

I have no problem with anything in your post except Attack on Titan. Man, that show pissed me off.

Really? I loved the concept and marathoned it. It's one of the new shows that kept my interest and even now I want to know what's going on exactly. It is dramatic but I don't mind it on anime as much.

There's an anime on Netflix I've been enjoying called Ajin. It has this sorta supernatural horror vibe that really works

Probably my favourite song on The Spell of Retribution along with "Retribution of the Lost Years" but it's also my least favourite The Chasm album. Those songs rule, though.

I'll try and do this but I'll limit it to only 1 from each album or else Deathcult would rule the list!

1. A Portal to Nowhere (No words)

2. Cosmic Landscapes of Sorrow (I'm a sucker for melodic tremolo blast sections and this has one of the best ever.)

3. The Mission/Arrival to Hopeless Shores ("And so when I reach the chimerical oceans, timeless monoliths of hate". No escape from the hopelessness of this song.)

4. Brand the Mournful Liberation (mainly for the part starting starting at around 3.30ish, all the feels. I could have picked "Deathcult Arrival" or "Procession to the Infraworld" for this album.)

5. Retribution of the Lost Years (1:30, 2:23 and 3:40 are gorgeous. Such passionate vocals throughout this piece. Does lack that killer riffset starting at 3:42 from your pick though so really those 2 songs would be tied for me.)
