but at least here most stores have a more friendly (and costly) alternative than the regular death camp-supporting meat industry stuff.

Its becoming ever more popular, especially with all the gene-mod hate going around (because you know the death-camp industry will adopt it). I've noticed quite a few restaurants advertising either organic or free-roaming (think another step up the ladder) meat. Granted the prices are higher but... I still like it.

I went to the North Market with a couple of co-workers. I had never been there before. Anyway, there are a bunch of different vendors selling everything from sushi to coldcuts, jewelery to beer. I found a sausage hut (or something like that) and they had it. I've been having my parents ship it here from Minneapolis since I moved here 10 years ago...I've not been able to find it until now. It was overpriced and quite small, but it was lovely.

At first I thought he was making carne asada tonight. Fortunately I was wrong. THIS WAS SO GOOD. I ate til I almost needed a bucket!

Better pulled pork than I've had from any bbq restaurant :kickass:
 
Goddamn!

Pretty much any kind of slow-cooked meat is so fucking good and easy to make... oh man I want something like that now. DAMN YOU CARA!!!
