So, new metallica album... I'd say it's some pretty decent hard rock. Nothing you're gonna shit your pants over, but it's definitely not a bad album by any means.

i heard only 5 songs so far (listening as I type this), but so far this is holding up better for me than AJFA ... very meaty and substantial lyrically. None of these 10 times repeated choruses.

seriously ... I never really liked that disc ... they were really running out of ideas at that point. They HAD to make TBA as I don't think they had another thrasher in them at the time. AJFA has a few great tracks, but most songs ae kind of sludgy and use those dreaded St. Anger like lyrical structures.

Put it on if you have not done so in years and see if you notice the same thing
