The Whining and Bitching Thread

@oci- are you calling me a retard for thinking that it's absolutely rediculous that a guy can't choose one thing (person) over the other?

@dd- saying I should keep it short?

I said what I said and it isn't what you quoted. I just find it hilarious that you juxtapose casual 'getting-ass' so casually up against something you think is worse, when both are idiocy and nothing you technically should even be bothering with at all. However, most of your posts in the GD have centered around some kind of trashy boy drama of one form or another and I don't really expect logic to surface at this point. But I wish it would so you would keep posting and be well liked rather than inevitably attract creeps and get bashed for almost never talking about anything else.

Please understand that I didn't go into detail, and rather attempted to paint a bigger picture to vent my grievances as well as to not bore other readers. I apologize for coming off as a trashy individual because I'm really not like that at all, and would rather refrain from appearing that way. I don't post on the forums all that often, so when I throw something out there to get it off my chest I don't consider what my posts all together sound like.

On a completely different note, I find it kind of odd that the spare buttons attached to the tags of a jacket are usually sewn on better than the original buttons on the coat. The point of having a spare button is to replace a lost or damaged one, but shouldn't a person sew the original buttons on a coat so that there is a lesser chance of losing one because it has fallen off? Anybody catching my drift?

in your avatar you kind of look like the girl from "the bourne identity".

A hilarious campus announcement was issued last night from the university president of SUNY Oswego.
Yesterday we received a report from University Police that on Saturday a
rope tied into a noose and draped in a tree was discovered on the lake
shoreline near the boundary between our campus and the city. The noose
was reported as being generally out of sight, but the fact that it was
near or on college property is reason for me to share my concern and to
emphatically state that acts of bias will not be tolerated on this campus.

University Police is continuing its investigation of this incident, and
I am meeting with student leadership to discuss it.

As you know, I have written to our community on several occasions to
emphasize that we must not be indifferent to acts of hatred or ignorance
whether they occur as racist graffiti or nooses, anti-Semitic language,
or homophobic words. In fact, we must express our concern and outrage
when any member of our community needs our support. Doing so brings us
together to reject acts that contradict our values. Our community, on
this campus and off, in all our many communities, is only as well, only
as whole, only as powerful as we together make it.

I remind all members of our campus that it is the duty of faculty, staff
and students to report behaviors intended to disrupt the lives of any
members of our community. Reports can go to University Police, Residence
Life, Judicial Affairs and/or Human Resources, depending on the nature
of the incident. Please feel free to contact those offices if you have
any information to share.

I thought it was pretty stupid that she had such a severe over-reaction, so I typed up a comically self-righteous reply. I'm not going to send it back to her, but I may submit it to the campus news paper for shits and giggles.
Hello,

While it is illegal to display a noose "with the intent to
intimidate," I can see no inherent bias affiliated with merely the
presence of a noose in a neutral environment and I find your
reaction to be both presumptuous and alarming. Also, because no
estimation was given about roughly how long the noose had been
there, or the condition of the rope used to tie it, it's entirely
possible that a scarecrow or skeleton was lynched from it around
Halloween and that the noose, once installed, was simply too
difficult to recover.

Additionally, when I was active in the Boy Scouts of America, I had
peers who enjoyed tying nooses recreationally, because it's a
challenging knot and requires a degree of artistic flair in order
to produce one that meets a certain aesthetic standard. Furthermore,
it is entirely possible and even likely that the creator of this
noose simply enjoys knot-tying as a hobby, had no ulterior motive
and (as in the example above) was unable to recover the rope and
later forgot about it.

The fact that one might assume racial bias in such a neutral context
concerns me, because it is an offensive and aggressive act of
prejudice that stigmatizes and incriminates members of our community
and incites others to unfairly alienate them based upon an
arbitrary recreational preference.

Thank you for your understanding,

Matthew F. Tabor
