Well it's hard to imagine shows like that having value to anyone other than a child, but there are other things kids do/watch which are still fun or beautiful in some sense and which most adults write off. I'd give examples, but the ensuing laughter would probably detract from my point. The whole anime thing is one, though.

I know what you mean and I agree to a point, but there's a difference between temporary nostalgia, and actually still being "into" certain things. Hell, when I get back home I will again be attending a local board/card game group on a weekly basis, although I strictly go for the advanced war/economic strategy games, and get irritated when games not in that variety are played. Some people think that is childish/stupid, but will turn around and play video games all night.

As far as anime goes I will admit bias, since I always thought everything anime related was stupid/annoying anyway. Although I won't deny some hentai chicks are hot .

Yeah, there are a lot of childhood activities that would not be mentally adequate for an adult. But then there's stuff like hide-and-seek, and all those elementary school P.E. class things like dodgeball, scooter boards, etc. that would still be a blast to do every now and then as an adult if one could get over one's self-consciousness.

It's kind of like how people are with dancing - a lot of people find it 'stupid' or 'undignified', but if you can manage to enjoy it, it's really liberating in a way.
