Thread on bands you like...

How am I supposed to talk about specific bands while wading through a multi page thread on a number of bands I DON'T want to talk about?

I completely agree. I made a thread about Recommendations, where people can post samples instead of typing lists of bands that noone would check out and it was closed

Well I was planning on just surfing the forums but after seeing this thread I think I might as well just log in to reply. It's not a big reply but I just wanted to say I agree with you 100% savabich. I really hate the fact that you have to post on the music you like thread instead of posting topics about bands you like on the forums. Just about every other metal forum lets you post a topic about the band. It's cool because you get to talk about the band and only the band specifically on that one topic. It's like your own personal cheering squad... except it's in a topic instead. Probably the most irritating thing that I have concluded about this site, not allowed to post topics about other bands in the forums. Also I find the "talk about music you like" thread to be confusing. I mean if this was any other forum, the forum would not survive. One topic about bands that should have just been seperated in other topics. Not smart. I find posting topics about bands to be so much easier. Espicially on a site as big as this.

As long as theres not already multiple threads on the same band less than a few pages back, I don't think a thread praising a specific band should be locked, unless its just fucking boring "THIS BAND RULES DUDES DISCUSS!" shit.
