This list isn't totally reflective of my current taste, but all these albums were certainly very important in my musical evolution.

Korn-Issues: Hey we gotta start somewhere and this was my introduction to metal

Fiona Apple-Tidal: Before I listened to Fiona I was a very emotionally supressed kid. On my fourteenth birthday I picked up this album, and when Never is a Promise came on I just broke down crying, it was the first time I had cried in years. This album was my first step away from being the weak human I once was and recognizing my strength.

Pink Floyd-Wish You Were Here/ King Crimson- In the Court of the Crimson King: Got both of these around the same time. They really helped broaden my concepts of music, opening me up to unconventional song structers, various instruments, lengthier songs, concept albums and so forth.

Dead Can Dance- Within a Realm of a Dying Sun: Helped open me up to an entire new world of music and helped me gain an apprication of older and more traditional styles of music.

Opeth- Still Life:Well the prog elements had already been taken care of by King Crimson and Pink Floyd, but this was when I finally gave in and decided I'd tollerate extreme vocals, soon enough I loved them.

Emperor-Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk: My enterence into the world of black metal, which has since had a major impact on my outlook on life.

Agalloch-The Mantle/ Burzum-Hvis Lyset Tar Oss: Helped me find my pagan roots and see my place in nature as well as the sham that is modern scociety. These albums were the perfect catylists to help set my thoughts free.

Neurosis- Through Silver in Blood: Well I was one short, so this will do since they really have an excleent kcack for breaking you down and opening you up.
