KISS- Hotter Than Hell- introduced to them at a very young age by my brother and my cousin, this is my fave KISS album
Guns and Roses- Appetite For Destruction- my introduction to dirtier, nastier rock/metal and still one of my faves
Iron Maiden- 7th Son of a 7th Son- My intro to "metal" along with Metallica's And Justice, but this made more of a lasting impression then Justice
Slayer- Reign in Blood- my intro to Slayer and the world of high speed thrash!
Venom- Black Metal- Do I really need to explain that one?
Death- Leprosy- My intro to death metal, though not my favorite Death album, this had more of a revelatory impact than Individual thought Patterns
Faith No More- Angel Dust- Not metal I know, but the Real Thing snapped me out of a death metal only mindset and Angel Dust is their crowning achievement
Sabbat- Dreamweaver- Simply a phenomenal thrash album, with a style al it's own
Godflesh- Streetcleaner- First "industrial" album, if it can be called that, this is one of the most unique albums I've ever heard
Neurosis- Through Silver in Blood- This is possibly the most apocolyptic album ever recorded and Neurosis have come to be my favorite band (The Eye of Every Storm farging rules!!!)
Honorable mentions- Can't forget these other important albums
Cradle of Filth- Dusk and Her Embrace
Arcturus- La Masquerade Infernale
Napalm Death- Harmony Corruption
Ministry- The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste
Blind Guardian- Nightfall in Middle Earth
Maudlin of the Well- Bath/Leaving Your Body Map
And te more I think about it the list is getting far to long to continue with
