Nice! Great band.

I've been getting in to more post rock lately and they're one of the bands I'm most enjoying.

Edit: Is anyone else really looking forward to the new album from The Mars Volta? I've been hooked on that band's debut lately.

I've noticed the Therion Gothic Kabbalah love that strongly permeated the numerous earlier versions of this thread is largely absent now. Interesting.

Yah. Albums released early in the year sometimes don't have the same hype towards the end. But, I've heard from several that as much as they liked it at first, that it hasn't aged too well for them. I still like it a lot and enjoy it every time I listen. I just wish CDs could hold more music, as I hate swapping discs =p

Post-rock is great. As far as my tastes go it's right behind metal and rap. I love it.

I'm kind of over The Mars Volta though. Deloused in the Comatorium is one of my favorite albums ever, but everything else they've released has been atrocious. I'll probably give it a listen, but I don't have high hopes for it.

Already for 2008 I am looking very much forward to Avantasia, Gamma Ray, and Pagans Mind. Was very disappointed with the Iced Earth. Still gonna give it a few more listens before I dismiss it.

yeah, what is up with that?

Regardless of the fact that their name is prominently displayed to the left, Gothic Kabbalah is till my number one album of 2007.

This is followed closely now by Iced Earth's Framing Armageddon.
