TRIGGER Intro Video and NEWS

In the Slate forum it says
"All SSD 3.x users get TRIGGER PLATINUM for $150 for a limited time after release!! Yes you too EX'rs!"

Cheers bud.

Just watched the video, When it mentions the Midi I/O, it talks about how Trigger can output Midi for use with other Instrument plugins, but can Trigger be placed on a Midi track and Triggered from there rather than from Audio?

If so then i'm definitely getting this.

can TRIGGER load samples via drag and drop?
cause that's the main reason why I'm not using DrumRehab....huge pain in the ass to navigate through that fucked up browser to create DRPs

The proper way of doing that is to insert Trigger on an audio track and route the output of the MIDI track to that instantiation of the plug-in. This way it triggers from the MIDI file, yet your audio output is on an audio track, as it should be.

Given that Trigger has 'Midi In' functionality, this should be a no brainer.

I'm curious how this is going to work in Logic. I don't think you can route midi from a plugin on an audio track, to another plugin on a instrument track.

can't you route the output of a midi track to the instantiation of the plugin in Logic? basically you're saying to use trigger as the "Virtual instrument" to that midi track.
I guess you can do it, maybe I'm wrong, I don't have Logic.

I don't think you can route a midi track to a plugin. I may be wrong, but I've never tried it in all honesty.

I'm not sure iLok is a necessarily good thing. Looking at how much cracked stuff of iLok protected software is available, it doesn't seem to protect from piracy at all. And iLok is known to cause troubles and is expensive and ... Yeah, I know challenge/response systems suck as well, but still ...

true, at this point they may as well just forget about the anti-piracy stuff cause some crazy kid in russia is going to crack it within 3 hours anyway haha, but still, I'd rather have iLok than that god awful system they had for kontakt. I still haven't even registered it - whenever I need to use it (which is rarely, thank the lord) I just reinstall it, lol.
