U.S. Tour with Opeth next year?

Well, I happened to be at Opeth's show on Thursday in San Fransisco. It was awesome, they actully played Black Water Park, The Moor, and Bleak. But anyways, Mike mentioned that OPeth is coming back for a U.S. Tour in Febuary again.

Anyone think that Katatonia will or should be on this tour? I mean.. The timing is right, They'll be releasing an album at the same time. It seems so right. Who else thinks so?

I was at that show too! When and The Moor were amazing! It would be awesome if Katatonia and Opeth toured together.

I am extremely torn about this......I have this pride in Katatonia....like they shouldnt need to "ride Opeths train" though I have a tremendous respect for Opeth......they are friends and all too so i think that would help them with doing a U.S. tour since Opeth has done it already........I dont know.....I dont want Katatonia to play with anyone.....I want a 2 hour Katatonia show.....where they call ALL THE SHOTS....and play as long as they want....

Ultimately it would be a great opportunity for Katatonia.....and if they were going to tour with any band through the U.S. I think it should be opeth......but I am so selfish that I just want to hear Katatonia......everything else is secondary...

I agree with deliverance as much as i would love to see them both live its about time for Katatonia to sort of break away from following opeth( i say this only because alot of people like katatonia from originally liking opeth) i personally feel katatonia has more to give than opeth in terms of accessability and they are a fantastic band. They need to do their own fucking show and headline it and COME TO ENGLAND.

I really don't care about it, I mean, katatonia is a completely different band and in my eyes they dont need to be associated with Opeth or with some other successful band...I can't see any hype in this idea, just the same old tune "opeth-kata 2x1" and it's boring boring boring

i guess, a US tour will be invain. majority of people are into happy commercial music. Milwaukee festivel is a great example.opeth has also signed roadrunner so, they would be greet by more happy kiddy fans.

Depends on the Irish promtion company, which is just one guy now, and hes mainly into brutal death metal and dosnt really bother much with anything else.
