well arch's vocals are still excellent so WHY THE FUCK DID THEY AUTOTUNE THEM. does everyone really have to sound like t-pain? is this TRULY what we are striving for? why do they even HAVE a real drummer if they're going to replace the whole kit with fucking steven slate samples or whatever this shit is
i am so. fucking. tired. of all these "MODERN" "PRODUCTION" "TECHNIQUES" that do nothing but absolutely ruin music.
i deleted my autotune.dll a couple weeks back and i vow to never ever be a part of this shit

sounds way too fake. arch was never a perfect singer in fates warning but he had a lot of soul, it sounds to me like now they've tried their best to remove that soul, and it's just bleh. the annoying part is you can tell he's still got it, but all character is just lost in a sea of robotic glissando

heheh! This is what I think about every Opeth album for the first ten listens or so. Afterwards, it becomes brilliant (to me, anyway....I have really bad taste)

Decided to finally catch up on some more 2011 stuff. New Arckanum may actually be the best they've done since the 90s. That being said, it still isn't spectacular by any means and rather listen to the older stuff. Definitely some solid and catchy tunes though.

Alright, so Elders is solid Stoner/Doomish metal.
Entrails is incredible. Apparently a Swedish DM band from the 90s that never actually recorded/released any material until 2008. I hear Dan Swano had a hand in this release.
Listening to a bunch of Furia (Pol) releases at the moment. Probably a band a few of you would like but I don't have the patience to link any their shit.
Up next:
Corpsessed - The Dagger & The Chalice (Finnish DM)
