What other GMDers influenced your music taste the most?

Anthems is pretty much the black metal equivalent of ADHD, so meh. "More musical ideas thrown together obviously means more depth". Lol.

Also I love how seemingly offended crimsonfloyd is getting about this.

I'm not offended by the fact that some people don't get it. I honestly don't expect the majority to. High art is rarely for the majority. That said I will push back against people feeling to relativism to justify a lack of analysis or understanding, and I do expect people to explain and substantiate their positions, especially if they want to nit-pick my substantiated position.

To all the people that rip on me for liking demos, the last two Autopsy records pre-split up, Abscess in general, early Mortician:

IT'S HIGH ART AND I WOULDN'T EXPECT YOU TO GET IT.

Dude, Shitfun is the highest of the high art. It's so high art that even Autopsy fans don't like it. The only thing higher art than Shitfun is Seminal Vampires and Maggot Men.

surely the first port of call for a "masterful exploration of evil" should be to actually sound even a little bit evil, rather than like cornball circus music. i'm generalising a little, but it's ridiculously heavy-handed stuff for the most part, which ain't a quality i associate with 'high art'.

Your standards for what constitute "high art" are pretty low if you consider Anthems "high art". :V

It's okay. We can't all be winners.

(Inb4 some "i know you are but what am I"-esque quip)
