What was the best gig you saw in the 80s ?

Iron Maiden+Angel Witch, Motorhead+Tank in 82

I hate you! o_O

I'll sacrifice myself with a wooden knife to the gods of darkness for the chance to go to a gig with such a bill :worship:

hehe problem is.... it was too long ago and i need to buy video or DVD to remember the details -
what i remember most is, the monitors lined up on all through the edge of stage for Motorhead, and the fact they pronounce the band name as "MOID'N" (in low, growling voice) not like "MEIDEN" which i was taught :D
oh and young lads were singing along on the way back to the station from the venue, "Yo an angel witch, yo- angel witch" and i felt united with them, joining shyly, hahah

.. i might be better starting to borrow the videos from Sickboy :)

Heheheeh... :D
But since my internet connection is blazing "fast" you'd be better off at any p2p program of your choice... ;)
Now that I think of it, who knows what other videos from S.R.'84 circle around...hmm...:err:

Ok, had to think about this...

Honorable Mention: 1989-ish: Purgatory , Havoc, and Destructor in Cleveland. The singer for Breaker did vocals for Havoc, one of my all-time fav bands!
5. 1986 - Voivod opening for Celtic Frost. Wow.
4. 1990 - Voivod headlining. Opening acts: Faith No More, Soundgarden - can you believe Soundgarden was the first band on stage?
3. 1981 - Def Leppard opening for Ozzy. "High n Dry" had just come out, & ozzy's first solo tour.
2. 1982 - Iron Maiden opening for Judas Priest - "Number of the Beast" & "Screaming for Vengeance" tours. Holy Crap-a-moli!
1. 1980 - Saxon and Black Sabbath opening for the amazing Blue Oyster Cult! Saxon was almost booed off the stage, had beer bottles thrown at them. They did have guitaers that spun like ZZ Top, only on fire, hah! Sab was amazing, but BOC blew them away. Don;t ask me how, but they did!
