How'd you build the potato gun - was it PVC and a Grill igniter? I made one a while back like that - used Aqua Net as the fuel
- that thing was so dangerous, but fucking A, it would have blown a potato clear through someone. We easily cleared 1500 feet with it (the whole assembly was about 7 feet long).

I completely agree with most of the points you made, but this post was not only about Joey Sturgis.
He is just the prime example that gets the most attention.
My OP was much more than a defensive statement about Joey Sturgis.
But as with most threads on this forum, if his name is mentioned.. Everything else is overlooked.
You also changed your original post and removed Joey's name. While he may have been just a "prime example" of your overall statement, it still was the focus of your post.... proved by the fact that Joey felt the need to jump in to the thread. And let's be honest ... what other person has been the focal point of the problems you've mentioned? I think its safe to say you intended this post to "mostly" be about Joey and considering the recent back and forth problems between him and several others. Besides, your title fucking says "Sturgis rant inside"

Ahhh - you posted mid-reply.
Add a bigger combustion chamber, and about 4 more feet on the barrell.
And make sure you're in the middle of nowhere, because that shit will go really, really far.

all the people offering quality reamping on this forum that i bet
has saved your asses with some project many times
and now all this FUCKING AWESOME threads about
drum editing/quantizing on Reaper, cubase and pro tools.
i remember when everyone learn to "master" thanks to slate´s gclip+gclip+ elephant "trick"
or when "parallel compression" became famous on this forum thanks to faderwear guides (im not 100% sure about this one)
and im sure that im forgetting a lot of stuff
the great thread with a lot of questions answered by Andy fucking-awesome Sneap
and andy himself was answering questions on Facebook/livestream
about the Exodus recording just a few weeks ago
Jens bogren and Colin richardson had posted here
just being able to learn from great producers like Andy sneap , James murphy, Lasse lammert ,
Jens bogren , Colin richardson, ,etc..
makes this the BEST FUCKING FORUM ON THE ENTIRE INTERNET >.<
and the most important thing
all the friends we have made on this forum (I LOVE U GUYZ)
i feel bad sometimes for not being able to offer something in return because im still a n00b and
