What's the lowest anyone has gotten growlwise?

^They're different than traditional growls, you hold out longer and try to go lower and it's not as forced as traditional growls are. It doesnt hurt me to do them, but then again growling never really has for me.

Jesus Anal Penetration :kickass:; and btw....did you just say you're the singer for JAP? I want to hug you!

I actually have a huge problem finding bands to join, always have - which really sucks..

SB wins.

How do you actually do guttural growls?

I attempted it, and simply did something shitty :p
My secret to being able to do ones I like: Chocolate Milk

I dont know anyone in my area that is even into death metal, much less any bands who need a singer and/or rhythm guitarist.:erk:

Personally I cant growl all that low, I am not a great singer but my singing voice is quite high and I think that has something to do with it.

The vocals on Mournful Congregation's The Monad of Creation are extremely low and slow as are most growls in Funeral doom.

I'd like to be in a Grind or BDM band, but the problem is I'm very shy and so I doubt I could get up and sing in front of even my own band.

Which sucks, because I'm not a bad vocalist. Just as long as I can have a few minutes in between songs and keep to relatively slow songs. I can't spit like Corpsegrinder does in some of the newer Cannibal Corpse without jabbering.

Yeah, I'm the singer for JAP.

Hang in there Seraphim and get chatting with people in your local scene, you're bound to find a few like minded individuals who want to make some metal. Unless the traditional approach vs the current death metal trend is making it harder to find people in your prefered style. My head explodes nowdays when I think of how many boxes there are now. Goodluck dude.

^Me too, he sounded great up to True Carnage though, maybe 13/Graveyard Classics also, his best growls are in The Bleeding and The Haunted though.
