wheat beer appreciation thread

i HATED hoergarten the one time i tried it but i was already wasted

i think the liquor emporiums around these parts have a policy against carrying beers with cool names, or american microbrews in general. its all either canadian, english or eastern european, which is fine with me, but i'm missing out here!
 
Hoegaarden actually isn't that bad. Witbiers, like Hoegaarden, are usually spiced with orange peel and coriander and are pretty damn refreshing. Add to it a great Belgian yeast strain and your in for a pretty good beer. I swear Belgian yeasts can make St. Ides taste good. :tickled:

whoops. Cant forget about the Sam Adams 2005 Harvest Imperial Pilsner. Fuckin A, that shit was masterful! I found two stragglers at a local liquor store that I decided to drop in on a couple weeks ago and was in heaven.
