it seems like every time i look on the music forum, its the same ole stuff. granted i cant think of anything better to talk about. but it seems like its always the same basic questions, which i just dont feel like answering over and over.

if there were somthing with a little more substance than "which DM band rulz most", i might do more than just lurk there.

I post in the music forum more. And I definitely spend more time in the music forum, mostly scouring for recommenations. Which is pretty time consuming, as I have heard the vast majority of bands talked about.

i feel the same way. theyre beneath me. i'm simply too smart for that tripe!

i'd totally be into discussing the roots of metal in classical music, but we've already done that. perhaps someday someone will think of somthing with a similar quality. perhaps the development of guitar tone and technology and how it has affected the development of metal... hey, thats not bad...

Music discussions are my first priority, but too often I find myself here due to the lack of quality threads in the GMD. Plus I've been on dial-up most of the time this summer, so that's restricted my ability to browse so many threads in time. Once I'm at school I'll have high-speed again and my participation should increased, in both forums.

What music do you listen to? I don't think I've ever see you mention a single band you actually like.

Well, I actually have mentioned it recently (get to knows people thread), but other than that I have't mentioned it in a long time. I listen to metal, mostly... The only CD's I'll actually go out and buy are metal, but I listen to a lot of underground hip-hop and classic rock when I'm with friends.

As far as specific bands go: Judas Priest is my absolute all time favorite. Symphony X, Nevermore, Iced Earth, Sonata Arcitca. Some Candlemass, Into Eternity, Suffocation, to name a few.
