Who's listening to what these days?

Airbourne. Bon Scott is reincarnated.

Heaven's Basement. Awesome Brit rock band.

Gonna give the new Children of Bodom a whirl but I hear it's still not a return to form. Laiho is starting to slow down.

I like the new Clutch album Earth Rocker and most of the new QOTSA (especially after it grew on me a while).

I have been itching for a new Mastodon album, and they're about due; it's been almost two years since The Hunter. That one made them one of my favorite contemporary metal bands.

That was a great show they did here in the fall of '11 (with Red Fang opening).

Always

Actually, this is my first post here.
I just heard about you girls this week. I've been away from metal for too long.

Just catching up on the oldies....

Satan - Life Sentence. Awesome comeback album by these NWOBHM legends.

Blood Ceremony - The Eldritch Dark
Pagan Altar - Judgement of the Dead
Sacrifice - The Ones I Condemn
Bolt Thrower - In Battle There is No Law

I got to see a band called "Anti-Mortem" tour with Holy Grail when they all came to San Diego. They remind me of Pantera, and they sound terrific live!

Not sure if this guy is a household name just yet. He just released a full album, but he writes some of the best arrangements I've ever heard and he can really shred.

Ben Burnley is in the process of selecting new bandmates, hopefully. I was always a fan of Breaking Benjamin. His old guitarist and bassist are in a new band called Stardog Champion.
