I don't like rap, r&b because of the degrading way they portray women, and mostly their lack of REAL singingskills.

I think music should give you shivers and all kinds of feelings, it shouldn't be shallow. Instruments are supposed to be played by people who are talented and have practised on them...

And last but not least, instruments are important to me, even if the instrument is a voice, doesn't have to be professionally trained, BUT has to be used in a passionate way. I don't consider bass-noises alone, music.

Pop can be good, but you shouldn't like it because the singer happens to be something that can generally be called 'handsome/pretty'...

Kayos: Why would you hate the people that love pop music? I think pop lovers would like other things than just that like rap and maybe some metal and rock. Pop's too cheezy and commercial.

That was the whole point of my pot. I don't hate Pop music or the people that are fans of it... I can't believe you missed it.
I tend to not like people who like Pop music. I am not saying that I take a disliking to them because they like that music. It is their personality in my experience that I can't relate to and I generally have a lack of common interests with them.
