I love Thunderbirds, but hated that there was no mid-grade. Either cheap entry level, or Gibson.

A Thunderbird is the only "old school" bass I've never owned. The Gibson's have always been out of reach and the lower scale Epiphone's have never interested me. Fuck. I need to play one. Quick.

The new 6505 is absolutely horrible, but as long as they don't change anything inside, I don't care that much. The new Randall head looks fucking great to me!

ok....5150 & 6505 are not exactly what you call pinicle design but i love the understated externals: badging behind the grill etc....now they might as well stick a Ford badge where the Peavey one currently resides...
