I'm so psyched. It'll be my first time seeing them. Anyone know what the Palladium is like?

My wife is floored that I'm choosing Opeth over the Patriots, btw. I can always Tivo the Pats. I can't Tivo Opeth!

The Palladium is pretty sweet, it's like an old theatre set-up, but nice inside.
Has 2 or 3 bars, big stage etc... non-smoking though.
I can't wait myself :D

I'll be seeing Opeth for the first time Sunday night with a friend of mine. I just realized I'll miss the whole friggin' Pats game, but I think that's a small sacrifice.

The venue is classic theatre style, somewhat aged. It will be crowded for Opeth, so I suggest getting there early.

I might be wrong about this, but I think the Palladium recently established a policy in which once you enter the venue, you may not temporarily leave to have a smoke or whatever. I remember a huge fuss about it at the NE Metalfest.

I'll be there to see Opeth for the 5th time. :D

I'll be there, it's going to be a sweet show.

And I'm only going to miss the tail end of the Giants game, Patriots suck. ^_____^

Patriots do suck. I'm glad I'm not the only one in New England who doesn't like them

Anyways, thsi will be my first time seeing Opeth, I really can't wait!

I'll be there with my girlfriend.

It will be the first time seeing them and Nevermore for the both of us.

This will be my 6th time seeing Opeth.

I think the palladium is a shithole, but unfortunately that's where all the good bands go. The sound is ok, the drinks suck (cheap booze) so stick with the beers. The bathrooms are crap. The ceiling is falling apart. Thankfully it's pretty dark. The balcony is the worst place to be. The sound is much better down low & towards the center.

I wish they would play in Boston at the Avalon. Bands sound fucking great in there. Plus there's lots of bars with really hot bartenders. Boston Rules. Hampton Beach Casino is also great. Worcester is a fucking pit. Regardless, I'd see Opeth anywhere they play.

The Irish Times across the street is good !

If I remember correctly it was you couldn't leave after 6pm or sometime around there. I was able to leave and get back in no problem earlier in the day.
Anyway, I will be there. I have no real problem with the Palladium. Been to a good amount of shows there plus the NE Metalfest (and that was awesome minus the hardcore). I'm excited.

I'll be there - couldn't drag anyone out with me on a Sunday - fools I say!!
I agree with Opeth8 about the Palladium - not sure why every metal band now goes to Worcester when Boston has some decent sized venues.

I'll be there, and I can't wait!! Third time seeing them.
The last song played at my wedding two weeks ago was "Ending Credits," so I'm real excited.
