Worst Metal Genre

You know, grind core isn't metal. It has never been. It has always since it's birth been an extreme form of punk. Just because lots of grindcore bands nowadays take influences from death metal or the other way around, doesn't mean that grindcore would be metal.

Iced Earth are power metal.

If you absolutely despise Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Angra, Elvenking, Children of Bodom, Iced Earth, Nevermore, and Savatage then vote Power Metal. Go right ahead.

But stop voting for 'Power Metal' if you think it's all summed up by Manowar and the way they dress!!

Alright, I don't know anything about Power Metal earlier it was stated Children of Bodom was power metal but with harsh vocals. I've never heard "real" Power Metal vocals but what to you people think of CoB's vocals. To me they are fine. Nothing bad.

COB's vocals aren't bad. Typical power metal vocals either sound like Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, or Pavorati (opera).

I love every metal genre listed, unlisted, and all of the other sub-sub-sub-genres stupid people can think up.

Basically, I put the music first, I like bands because of their music, not because of what catagory they are in (although I then do catagorise them...). I don't care what clothes they wear. Or what sexual preferance they have chosen. It's just music...

Hell, I even like some numetal, but I would say by far, that it is the worst metal genre yet.

Whats wrong with power metal? Some bands might be extremly cheesy :cough Manowar cough cough: but thats not to say they all suck i mean there are plenty of good bands that arent kill the Fucking dragon and stuff. Example are Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, and Symphony X.
