Heh... I think this is amusing. My friend has been a really big Pink Floydish fan and many other classic rock bands. Well, I let him borrow a few Ayreon cds and he loved them. I tried to think of some other band that I could show him that he might like... Pink Floyd does not sound like Symphony X, but a lot of Ayreon sounds like Pink Floyd. Also, a lot of Ayreon sounds like Symphony X (Dawn of a Million Souls ). So as a longshot I showed him to www.hoffmanshome.com/prog and let him download The Divine Wings of Tragedy...

Well that was 5 days ago... he's now a proud owner of a Symphony X Odyssey T-shirt. lol All he heard was DWoT and instantly became a fan. He said he was in awe at Michael Romeo's guitar skill. I have all the Symphony X CDs (besides live, self titled, and prelude) and I lent him them today. Wonder what he's gonna do after hearing The Accolade

I converted my nephew not long ago. Since I was always talking about SymX, he got curious and ended up downloading a bunch of songs. I couldn't believe how many he downloaded, I was like NO BUY THE CD PLEASE! He really liked them a lot and says he wants all the cds but since he's only 14 he kinda doesn't have a lot of $$$
