XBOX 360 ANNOUNCEMENT

Granted they'll look stupid, the whole idea of the interactive gameplay all the time is a novel one, and a great one if you ask me. And the fact you can download any of the previous Nintendo games makes me VERY interested, especially those hard to get imports from Japan of FFV for Super Famicom. That's a huge sellpoint for me, and probably a ton of others out there who want the long lost MegaMan titles.

But PS3 will have the latest Final Fantasy titles, so that's what Imma buy :p

I didn't know about being able to download the old nintendo games.............does that go for NES, SNES, and N64?

BTW, a year or two ago the released the Megaman Anniversary Collection for PS2....which contains megamans 1-8, plus the two "battle" gmes that were original only arcade systems. They also more recenty came out with the Megaman X collection

you can get all that on PC anyway...but not *cough* legally. But I don't care.

setsu, you call out ps3 fanboys, but you are also acting like an anti-ps3 fanboy. What's the difference?

In the end, get the system you think will satisfy your needs.

I had my eyes set on ps3, but now I'm thinking about 360 because nba 2k7 and GTA IV are gonna be on both systems, and I don't really care about ps3's game selection other than sports and GTA.

So you see, get whatever suits your needs, and stop playing the fanboy role. If you like halo, get 360, if you like Zelda, get Wii, if you like Metal gear, get ps3, or if you like guitar or play an instrument, stick with that! (something I really need to think about before dishing out money for a next-gen console) lol

now someone please explain to me what is so great about halo?

It's a great gateway game. Kinda like Metallica is a great gateway metal band.

I played Halo on the PC for about a month before I decided it sucked and I needed something better... I then got Counterstrike Source (Which I play and worship whenever I get the chance)

Halo is just a generally fun game. The only part about it that's actually good other than the story is the XBox Live gameplay. The controls are easy (after you get used to them) and the Maps are really well done.

Halo is an amazing console game...fps's are mainly pc orientated, but halo brings it all to your t.v in a very cool look/playable format...the controls are genious and the game actually takes some skill not just run and shoot like most fps's now days! The best part of halo is the artwork/story line. I have both games xbox live, and all 3 halo novels + the art of halo book. its all a giant WOW. Multiplayer is also hoards of fun.

If it makes any of you fanboys feel any better fable 2 is going to own our souls as well.

I've actually found that Halo online IS pretty much run around and shoot, almost as much as Goldeneye. Hence me getting bored of it and getting something a bit better AKA CS:Source. It's not strategy/tactical based to the point of being overly complicated and annoying but it's just the perfect mix of tactics/good ol' running and shootin :D

Well it also depends on who you play with. There's 2 types of Halo players:

TYPE A:
People who run around, shoot aimlessly and throw random stickies with no purpose whatsoever
"HAHAHA!!! I got a triple kill!!!"
"YOU THREW A 'NADE AT THE GROUND IN THE MIDDLE OF A BATTLE!!!"
"You're still dead."

TYPE B:
The kind that think out their strategy 20 steps ahead.
"Okay, he's up there, and I have the sword. I have 1 'nade left, and 2 rounds. Now, if I can sword him and grab his stickies and his rockets, then I can get a Kildonculous when the other players come for me in 2 minutes."
"Where the fuck did you come from?"
"I came from nowhere, and that's where you and 10 other people are about to go as soon as I steal your rockets!!"

Unreal Tournament is incredibly fun. Just mentioning the game makes me want to install it again. But I must say that I've only ever played Halo single player campaign dealy...and it's probably some of the most fun I've had playing a FPS ever. The game is just non-stop ACTION, and that's what I want from a FPS really. Which is why I'm currently addicted to Prey:notworthy

thats what i'm talking about... and halo is far from run and gun
any nub can run and gun yes...but the good players get killing frenzy's and killtaculars like its nothing. Noobs with rockets get tripple kill and kill them selfs, good players use the BR and take outa whole team about 15 times before he dies

UT :S

Shiny version of Quake 3 with superfluous weapons, vehicles, game modes and ragdoll physics. Moreover, now a dried husk of a concept being repeatedly shafted to extract as much money as possible. The only game franchise ever to have been strip mined.

Thanks, but unfortunately it's the truth :/ I forgot to add that thanks to UT, most of the current generation of games subsitute graphics and gimmickery in place of gameplay.
