XBOX 360 ANNOUNCEMENT

Wow, this thread about the next wave of console technology crapped out real fast. I'm surprised so many people feel that adamant about "their" games that they get pissed off when somebody says they don't like it O.o

So you don't need story to play a game, fair enough. But UT is still just run around and shoot fast paced, hold as many guns as you want. Halo 2 you can have a maximum of 3, and normally its only 2. the physics in the game make it 4 BR shots to the head to kill them. 3 too lower shields 1 to kill the bast. body shots takes more than a hole clip, or sneeking up behind someone and beating them down with one hit...in ut this doesn't matter you just take the flak cannon and shoot and no matter where you hit him he is dead. I'm not arguing which game is better, since they're both FPS
s of their own unique style which one you like more is meerly a preference, i'm just stating that my preference is games with more skill/complexity envolved. Much like my music, its like choosing to listen to Symphony X or System of a Down. just remember this thread isn't to say you hate the game, this is an xbox360 announcement for those who care about halo 3, halo wars (new RTS game made by the same guys who made age of empires) and the halo movie. so why come in hear to knock on xbox and halo when the entire thread is pretty much dedicated to it...makes you look so stupid!

And you're still not listening/reading anything anyone has said. More than one person has explained why it's so great.

still doesn't convince me of the difference between most of the strategic FPS games.

So far just different storyline and somehow it got really popular on xbox. How did it get so popular?

Well people played it, talked to other people and told them about it, and so now alot of people play it. Multiplayer is what pulled most people in to playing Halo, competition.

Xbox was Microsoft's first console so it got alot of attention being the new guy on the block. Halo was the launch title and soon to be THE title for Xbox.

Yeah, they most likely will, but I assume you'll have to wait like a year or two after the X360 release to get it. They said they didn't have plans for the PC version of Halo 2 for a while and then all of a sudden they announced that they were making it for Vista.
