I'll tell you as I told my friend earlier. It is a film by John Carpenter, came out in 1986, starring Kurt Russell as the illustrious Jack Burton. He is a trucker who gets sucked into this mystical battle between good and evil in the middle of Little China, all the while trying to get his truck back, called The Porkchop Express. There is a lot of great one liners, and it is easily his best character, much better than Snake Pliskin, Stuntman Mike, etc...
