hmmmm....now that I read this I realized that I haven't discovered any bands this year that I really ADORE. But there are a lot of bands that I knew before but didn't really check out or from which I just liked the albums that came out this year. Those bands are Borknagar, Emperor, Tristania and some more

My discoveries for this year were

Brainstorm (Great Metal!!!!!)
Crimson Glory (Never Heard them before)
Vintersorg (Cause Cosmic Genesis is in English and I never liked music that I don't understand so the previous records weren't of my like)
Sonata Arctica (I didn't want to hear them cause I thought they Suck!!! How wrong I was!!!)
Falconer!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Maybe Alas and Babylon whores, but it seems that was on 2000 , i don't remember

its hard to pick cos im 14 and only been into metal for bout 2yrs and realy only this year the real real metal stuff so id say opeth katatonia and children of bodom

then again id heard arch enemy last in 2000 but with their new singer they are better i codnt live without wages of sin

there are some unsigned bands aswell from n.ireland
riff master general and then a band from my hometown called headrush that are a thrashy band like metallica megadeth anthrax in 1

2001, my biggest discoveries would be Symphony X, Evergrey and Pain Of Salvation...along with a hundred more.

Jorn Lande - Amazing vocalist!! 3 different bands, JORN, ARK, & MILLENIUM! AWESOME VOICE!!

Silent Force - Killer melodic metal!!

Staind - Shaddup! :lol I like thier "Break The Cycle" album...
