How do you feel about this tuner? Does it work well? And for low tunings?

Very fast and accurate, i actually bought a Boss TU3 a couple of weeks ago too and the Polytune is faster, you can literally play a scale fast and it will track to it.
I can tune the low B on my bass and my 7 string with ease,
Its the best tuner around IMO

haha.. yes it was... I'm just gunna use the mic pre's, take them out the inserts.. unless I can get the unit running...

a good buy even for just the pre's
Worth having a look inside, sometimes there are little surface mount fuses in line on the firewire connection that protects the firewire chip when people plug firewire cables in the wrong way round (surprisingly easy to do) and it sends volts up the wrong way.
You would need someone with surface mount soldering skills to change them, im sure a service centre will tell you whats wrong with it for £30 ish.

I know a very good electrical engineer, so I may take it straight to him for a look.

If I can get it repaired, its a massive bargin. If not, I'm still happy with the 4 Pre's...
