Your latest G.A.S. purchases

After experimenting with Jazz III's and their various derivatives for the last few years (finally settling on these as my favorite), I've decided to go back to bigger picks to facilitate easier rhythm playing - it's definitely taking some getting used to, but the JIII tip is easing me back in (for those that don't know, the above picks are full-size Tortex picks, but trimmed to come to a Jazz III-style point) and I think I'm preferring the blue; too much flex for my tastes on the green, despite how popular they seem to be

^Jazz III traitor!!!

:p

Seriously, tho... I'm in love with those picks. These are my favorite:

Too bad they don't sell them without a tin can full of other useless, fugly picks. I have to settle for standard nylon max grips. :D

Boerboel, I usually hate Strats, but my god that is gorgeous :worship: The combo of the sunburst, black pickguard/pickups, and maple neck, love it!

Yeah it's definitely a looker and the first guitar I have bought without playing first so I am bit apprehensive . The colours were a special order that they no longer offer on this model . The two Suhr's I have played previously felt so good I could have used them and never needed another guitar so fingers crossed for when it arrives tomorrow .

How do you like it so far?
Thinking about getting the fader unit...

What is this exactly? I'd like to check it out but can't see what it's called due to the fancy photoshoppery...

Edit: Ah nevermind. It's the Euphonix right? Wouldn't mind some faders, but there's plenty I'd spend $1300 on before a fader bank. I've always thought control surfaces are pretty useless, but lately I've been wishing I had some real faders when mixing at home. Moving the actual faders on our API at the studio just feels..... better than the mouse. I feel like its more intuitive.

Too early to say, I have to completely change the way of organize things in my sessions and workflow to use it to its full extent, but I'm sure it'll be worth the pain... But I'd take the Control unit over the Faders first, much easier to use and very useful.

On a side note, just bought

^ I perfectly agree... it's like showing off how big your cock is, and then comes elephant-sized Eduardo... with his crew of playboy bunnies... and pornstars... and milfs... and short-skirted, pony-tailed schoolgirls... and I get that feeling like he's constantly grinning!!!

Great post!!! :)

Ok, ok!!! I promise I won't post more purchases. :)

This passed just before my credit card was blocked

Kinda like it, you need to tweak it just a little bit when you have pretty inconsistent tracks or when you don't want it to increase the volume when the bass is supposed to be low, but it's handy.
