Yeah, I'm doing that today - listening to a lot of my favourite albums (which I know very well) from different genres and getting an overall feel for them and how they sound, as initially the ATH-M50s sounded very different to my usual, consumer-level headphones.
Settling in to them now though, they sound fantastic. Karnivool's Sound Awake album has never sounded so good!
