The Rg2228 I just got, next to my Custom 7. They're both 27" scale BTW, but the custom is super compact, as you can see.

great guitars, would you mind any more details about the custom 7? also via pm i if you like, this one is looking great.

my latest acquirements were:
Korg Pitchblack+ Tuner
Ernie Ball Volume Pedal Junior
AKG C414 B-XL II
Vovox Link Direct S 3.5m

at the moment i´m gasing for a Rodenberg GAS-728 Pedal, still im undecided for no particullary reason if i should order it or not..

cheers

Thanks! The colour looks kinda ugly in that pic, my room has horrible lights (pretty much a single lightbulb hanging from the roof ). It was built by Ales Vychodil, a Czech luthier, who mainly builds basses. Check out his site: http://www.avbasses.cz/index_eng.htm

I'm also getting a fanned fret 8-string from him eventually, he's currently building a prototype of some sort, when it's done he'll start building mine.

There were some problems with the 7-string originally (e.g. some specs were a bit different than I ordered), but I got them sorted out okay, and overall I'm so happy with it that I want another. The neck is HUGE though, almost bigger than on Schecter's 7-strings, but that's just what I wanted

I just picked up a used Firepod in near-mint condition.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know :-) But I've been using a Firebox the past 2 years, it's gonna be nice to have 8 REAL inputs to record drums!!! :-D

Yep... vintage U87 serviced by David Bock (from Bock Microphones)... not one of the modern "Ai" jobs. I wanted the real deal..... A present to myself for quitting smoking! :)

Nice one!! I'm jealous!! I've wanted one since the first time I heard one in recording school all those many years ago.

David Bock or James Gangwer?

When I was interning I was trying to find someone to repair an ifet7 (that according to the studio "was" favored more than thier U87!) and James is the only one that does it (he also had a pretty impressive story on the reason soundelux became bock).
