what are you using for your 5150 tone? I find it hard to pick a good cab and mic combination with that amp. Which pod HD do you have? Do you have the X version?

I have the regular 500. I pretty much never use the onboard cab/mic sims because that is the weakest link in the whole unit, only really use them for direct bass tones these days. I mostly just run into a power amp and real cab or if I need to be quiet then an impulse I made of the same cab. Sorry, I know that's not too helpful.

For some reason, I ended up checking out all kinds of Marshall 8100 clips last night, and what do you know. GAS alert So now just 15 hours later, I have a 8100 sitting here with me Sounds very good for a hybrid amp! Gotta play more with it now... The price was very good, too, at just 100 euros (110 USD)
