Has anybody noticed how brown the fretboard is on the C1's in comparison to the much darker C7 fretboards? Or is it just my pair?

Nice guitar Williamn, You wont be disappointed with that. The other guitarist in the band has one. We compared it to my MH-400 and couldn't find a single difference apart from the headstock, Exact body shape and all. so if you love that as much as I love my mh, you'll see it's everybit as awesome as you heard.

Picked up yesterday

How are the frets on this one? I saw one in a store a few days ago and the frets were really cutting into my hand when going across the fretboard.

As far as tuners go I can recommend the Gotoh Locking ones.
