I could've put some bands on here who only put out one amazing album (Sacramentum, At the Gates, Beherit, Ved Buens Ende, etc) but then that would be way too many bands to list, so I tried to keep it down to bands who have consistently put out quality releases. Other 'current' bands like Deathspell Omega and Dark Tribe will probably make it on the list if they continue releasing quality material in the future. And artists/bands like Autechre, Orbital, Aphex Twin, The Melvins, Dead Can Dance, etc. would have been on my list if it was to include non-metal bands/artists.
