Your Top 25 Favorite Albums Thread

I've noticed the drums being off-time on older material as well... but not terrible or anything.
When the first heavy part kicked in, I couldn't even tell what key they were playing in; it sounded that muddy.

Yeah, choosing "Oyster Soup" of all songs off of that magnificent album to represent KC is a little odd.

It touched my soul most deeply and was the best example of a prog group singing about meaningful things.

"Nothing lasts forever green thumb screw..."

Poetry

Can there be any doubt that Adrian Belew is a poet after hearing that song?

I have actually always loved the lyric:

"And if a bird can speak, who once was a dinosaur and a dog can dream, should it be implausible that a man might supervise the construction of light?"

Strange album. Although I do get a kick out of ProzaKc Blues.

On topic:

I realized that I didn't mention my favorite "non-prog" albums (In no order):

Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness

Stone Temple Pilots - Purple

Stone Temple Pilots - Tiny Music... Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop (I have been listening to this album for 12 years and Trippin on a Hole In a Paper and Seven Caged Tigers still give me goosebumps.)

Pearl Jam - 10

Midlake - The Trials of Van Occupanther

George Carlin - You Are All Diseased

George Carlin - Life is Worth Losing

I'm just curious to see what some of you newer member's Top 25 might be? Mine has changed since I posted my list. I'll have to make a new one. This is a great way to discover bands that we might not have heard or are not so familiar with.

It's 26, I really couldn't find an album I could take off the list.

Vinnie Moore – Time Odyssey
Pantera – Cowboys
Allman Bros – 1/9/71 Live at Fillmore East
