That's actually quite funny. The guys on the far end are the Glen and Shawn Drover (yes, they're brothers). They play guitar and drums respectively. They have their own band called Eidolon. The bass player is James MacDonough (who recently toured with Iced Earth).

Actually, I was hammered, and failed to follow the picture taking instructions given to me prior to going into the tent. Dave teased me about it, and then teased me about it again when I came back in for the quick meet and greet. During my limited interaction with him, he was quite personable.

i would've loved to have met dave during his "i'm a dope fiend lunatic about to get kicked out of metallica" days because he was probably a pretty cool person to hang with back then.

i always pictured metallica going to bed early with a glass of warm milk while on tour, except dave and of course cliff.

Yeah. Before we went it, they explained to us that someone would snap a pic, and then a few seconds later a second person would snap a pic. The first person snapped a pic, and I began to walk away. Dave pulled me back, and said, "You got to wait for the 2nd pic". So I stepped back, and then the 2nd person had camera troubles. So Dave smiles at me, shakes his head and says, "Now look what you've done." Defintely joking. He then made fun of me for it when I went back in to get my laminate signed. As I said, cool experience.
