Dark Tranquillity at Walt Disney World/House of Blues
I always wonder where I should start as everything is connected with everything?
Thanks God there was no dress code at the House of Blues Restaurant.
In my lifetime 5x I've been told my clothing did not meet the required dress for admittance.
I laugh at these people as they are in the service industry and if they don't want my money the place up the street will take it.
Anyway at the HoB restaurant the waiter asked if we were going to the concert in the HoB music hall that night? Yes why do you ask? The deal was if you order enough food you can jump to head the line. We can do that. I was with my Sister, She lives in Orlando that's why I visit FL so often. They pick me up at the airport, I stay at their place, eat their food and use their extra car. My Sister always tells me I'm welcome to bring a friend along on the visits. I tell Her I have no friends, Her reply is I know better than that. Actually I've asked a forum member to go along but it never came together. My last 2 visits have been to see DT. I use to go all the time to watch the Shuttle blast off. My brother-in-law works for NASA at the Cape and He would get me a pass to watch very close to the launch site. I was where the Dignitaries view the launch. La Rocque the Dignitary how fucked up is that.
Time marches on we finish dinner and get in the jump the line, line. Only about 20 people in front of us and at least 800 behind. First thing I notice is this guy with a Rammstein tattoo on his shoulder, tell my Sister maybe I should show him my R+ tattoo, before the worlds are out of my mouth he sees my R+ T-shirt and he is now talking with us, we have a very interesting conversation about R+. He asked who we were there to see, Opeth? I said I like them but I was there to see DT, he and his friend were there for Devil Driver. Forum members may find this of interest but I would say about half of the concert goers that night were there for DD.
btw the R+ shirt I was wearing listed on the back for one of the concert/dates Göteborg (SE) 30.Juli 2005 Metaltown Festival, I was not at this tour to obtain this shirt it was a gift from a from a Friend who lives in the Lowlands, I know DT played at this festival.
The doors open, being part of the first people in, had the choose to watch the show, like Lina at the JAXX show We chose one of those precious bar stools. Why stand when You can sit?

Rebecca, I now stand corrected, Mikael went into an Fbomb tirade when DT hit the stage.
This was the 7x I've seen DT live and when they start with the Wonders at Your Feet it's like They are taking hold of my being and saying, listen La Rocque we're talking to You. Amazing music. Even thought it was a shorter set, I loved every minute of Their playing. Must comment again about the guitar playing of Niklas and Martin H on Damage Done YEEHAAA and to hear My Negation live is the best. I got to see DT as headliner, main support and opener on this tour, who could ask for more but I will more, more, more.
As for Devil Driver, I saw them last year on the SOTU tour. They're OK but.
Opeth, not my all time fav. but I really like them. Outstanding, Mikael Åkerfeldt is a musical genius. Better stop writing about Opeth don't want to upset my sister and brothers on the DT forum.
