2006 USA/Canada Tour impressions/photos/reviews go here -

Holy crap! I've become a whiner :err: about swearing of all things! :loco:

@A Reason to Sing: I can't say that I haven't let the expletives fly before. **It does happen** ;) Don't know why there was a heightened sensitivity to it that night in Milwaukee but I suppose it could be because the bands on before and after Devil Driver don't rely on profanity to invoke the the crowd during their performances. This works better for me, although from what I remember during the show the rest of the huge-ass crowd of DD fans didn't seem to mind the verbal abuse.

Dave: :erk: Sorry to hear that about your heightened sensitivity to smoke. That vice is ever-present at most shows. It must be awful for you. I've never been to Uncle Walt's place in FL but since it's a family venue it's a good bet that it's smoke-free. Maybe you should call and find out about that too if you haven't already.

Dave: Your wish might have already come true. All the non-bar clubs in the City of Chicago banned smoking as of the beginning of this year. This includes the Chicago HOB, so maybe HOB in Orlando has followed suit.

Holy shit did DT kick ass last night!

I thought they'd be playing a way shorter set as they went on first, but they actually played a decent amount of time for the support.

I can't remember all the songs right now, but they did play Lost to Apathy, Character, Damage Done, Punish my Heaven, and finished with Final Resistance.

They didn't turn the lights back on in between bands, and after Devil Driver I managed to find a pick on the ground in the pit. Oh, how I prayed it would be a DT pick, but alas it turned out to be one of Jeff's from DD.

Oh ya, and I left during the first of many boring Opeth songs. :heh:

I can do without frontmen calling us "Motherfuckers" every other word in the in-between song banter
I can do without it myself.
I've seen DT live 6x and never once heard Mikael say it.
But on this live/boot he drops the fbomb, (crazy) mofos many times?
Don't know why as I've heard many different bootlegs of DT's live shows and it was never used?
Maybe there was something in the water? :D

Hola Dave. Whut up, forum amigo? :)

Haha! Is that for real? Thank you for that info. I stand corrected? :Spin:

That might be good fodder for the beginnings of a dt Wikispace. The thing about the Wikis, though, is that the space is only as good as the quality of its input from the members. =)

Hey, La Rocque, about smoking at the HOB in Orlando. They do not allow anyone to smoke inside the venue. Everyone that wants to smoke has to go to the upstairs balcony or out the back door to smoke. I go to shows all the time at the HOB in Disney and every now and then you have the one idiot that doesn't want to lose his spot on the floor and decides to smoke. But secuirty always comes up to them and asks them to leave. And I am going to the DT/DD/Opeth show at HOB Orlando so maybe I'll see you there.

By the way does anybody have the new DT setlist, since they switched from support to opening and will most likely have to play a shorter setlist:erk: ??

Just got back from the final stop(Orlando) of this DT tour
@ONU, sorry I missed you have not been on the forum much lately
Same great set as before:
The Wonders at Your Feet
Lost to Apathy
The Treason Wall
Damage Done
The New Build
Punish My Heaven
My Negation
Final Resistance
Rebecca, You and ONU were correct no cigarette smoking at the House of Blues
Even got to jump to the head of the line, thanks to the HoB
Good crowd they were really into DT's music
Now I want more, maybe the EU for me this summer? Anyone want to go?
My motto: La Rocque always on vacation -

Dave: They started @ 8:00 PM in Milwaukee

I attended the 2 March @ I-Rock in Detroit and the show @ The Rave in Milwaukee on the 3rd. No pics from the 3rd though.

The Detroit show was my fifth and Milwaukee the sixth for dt. The Detroit show was the best one yet. I bought the girlie top and the skull hoodie. That skull hoodie is awesome! It's sooo soft and warm. :) Got a poster too and sig updates on my CD covers. By the way, the merch was less expensive in Detroit. I knew I should have picked up the t-shirt as well while I was there.

The Detroit show was awesome!!!!!

Dave: Good deal. I'm glad you were better able to enjoy the concert atmosphere. Yeah, I've taken advantage of the 'dinner special' thing before. It's great! =) The last time I did that, I ate at the bar. Had a beer first, tipped the bartender well, then he brought over a receipt from another patron who left it to be tossed out, so I ended up getting an appetizer instead. A whole meal really would have been too much. It worked out for me pretty well that night. ;)

Hi Ian. I think we posted at around the same time yesterday. It was during my lunch break so I was a bit rushed then.

It was nice to chat with you again in Detroit. What a great show that was! :D
