Absolutely 100% PERFECT albums...

Darkane - Rusted Angel
Darkane - Expanding Senses
(I would say "Insanity" too, but the production died in the ass. The album is great though.)
Nevermore - Dead Heart in a Dead World
Meshuggah - Chaosphere
Dream Theater - 6DOIT
Manticora - Roots of Eternity
Opeth - Still Life
and all Thales tracks. I know you said album, but screw you. SCREW

I have a decent-ish mid ranger system, Marantz amp, Pioneer CD player and JBL speakers and Nightfall sounds amazing.
I also used And Then There Was Silence CD single when I bought a pair of Sennheiser headphones.

Opeth - Morningrise (how can you say BWP is totally perfect?:p)
Opeth - Still Life
Emperor - Prometheus : The Disciple Of Fire And Demise
Emperor - Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk
Pain Of Salvation - The Perfect ( hehe ) Element Part I
Transatlantic - Bridge Across Forever
Devin Townsend : Ocean Machine
SymphonyX - V
Carcass - Heartwork
Agalloch - The Mantle
Metallica - Ride The Lighting
Ark - Burn The Sun
Opeth - Still Life
Blind Guardian - Imaginations From The Other Side
Nevermore - Dreaming Neon Black
Samael - Passage
Death - Symbolic
Arcturus - The Sham Mirrors

how can people say that opeth - morningrise is the perfect album?
production is pretty shoddy, growling is way too raw and unmastered(in a bad way) and there are practically no transistions between riffs and sections...
I can : Morningrise is the best Opeth album :D

There's a few:

Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Opeth - Still Life
Metallica - Master Of Puppets
Mercyful Fate - Melissa
King Diamond - Abigail

i agree with still life, but powerslave has the duellists on, which isnt great. master of puppets is overrated imo.

also, with regards to Arch Enemy - Black Earth, i dont think it ages very well.

opeth - morningrise, orchid
nevermore - dead heart in a dead world
dark tranquillity - hmmm...projector? or maybe the gallery
paradise lost - shades of god
dream theater - scenes from a memory
rhapsody - symphony of the enchanted lands
death - the sound of perseverance, symbolic, human
at the gates - slaughter of the soul
metallica - ride the lightning, master of puppets, and justice for all
cenotaph - puked genital purulency

Pink Floyd - The Wall
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
The Who - Quadrophenia
The Clash - London Calling
The Beatles - Revolver
Devin Townsend - Ocean Machine: Biomech(I would probably also put Terria, but since I deleted it and The End has sold out of it, it has been a while since I've heard it.)
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
(Ok I know I'm going overboard with Pink Floyd here but sue me)
Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn(IMO, the PF albums I listed are the only perfect ones.)
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Opeth - Still Life
Opeth - MAYH

I'm not sure I've ever heard a 100% perfect album. Even my favorite album of all time, Reign In Blood by Slayer (maybe this is a nostalgic notion, but at the end of the day, I've heard this album 3000 times and it never gets old...), has tracks I skip (Piece By Piece, Criminally Insane).

Nope. I can't think of an album that is 100%.

well, never thought about it...here we go:

nevermore - the politics of ecstasy
lyrics, guitars, drumming, song structure....it's perfectly done....my all time fave...

strapping young lad - city
i mean it's not an album it's pure violence....

sanctuary - into the mirror black
the best power metal album i've heard...it has no boring second!

Wow........just now coming across this thread.

My perfect albums:

Amorphis - Elegy
Borknagar - The Archaic Course
Opeth - Morningrise

Don't really know what else to say about them. Music just doesn't get any better! :Spin:

Let me also add:
Death - Individual Thought Patterns
I love all of Death's music, but this was their shining moment. Perfect mix of melody & brutality, Chuck's best vocal performance (deathly, yet intelligable. Symbolic is where Chuck's vocals started going downhill). Good production w/ great bass sound. This was also Death's best line-up, w/ Gene Hoglan, Andy LaRoque, & Steve DiGiorgio. Yeah......probably a perfect album.

sorry....but SoP, human and symbolic beat ITP by faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!

Love both of those as well!:Spin:

The production on Human isn't so hot, and there are a few tracks on Symbolic that are somewhat less than perfect, IMO. Of course, Empty Words & 1000 Eyes are some of Death's best songs!

For me there are only three *perfect* albums.
Children of Bodom - Hatebreeder
In Flames - The Jester Race
Symphony X - V

I would put Dimmu Borgir - Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia close but it has 1 or 2 tracks which i feel bring it down slightly.
