ARE YOU THERE opinion (about dani)

Ah come on chaps, dont be telling people to fuck off and that. Everyone has a right to express their opinions and that. Or do you want this to end up like the Take That forum eh?
Yes, tolerance, that's what it's all about.
Are you there? It would be wonderful to know

Cmon guys!!! Where's your criticism. I have had the chance of hearing the album, and well, It's anathema, and not Portishead. You know what I mean???
the sounds, guitar effects, etc...
I guess it's just Danny's album this time. I WON'T say it's a bad album, strictly speaking, but yet, It feels like all the "anathema" sound (vinny on vocals and so forth) is somehow "re-directed". Maybe it's the mix, It's so...hmmmm portishead in some way...

Maybe it's because I'm a big fan of anathema that I come to this conclusion and spend time in this forum.
Sorry to have heated the forum. It wasn't my purpose, and I hope once you get to hear the album you'll be able to understand what I say.

Nevertheless, It's still Anathema, and that's a sure shot...

cheers ma friends

Obviously you prefer Vinnys voice, but feeling? Surely theres more feeling from Danny if he wrote the thing himself like?
Pavarotti is a better singer than me but I would put more feeling into singing my own songs than him.

i totally agree...

i always prefer when the songwriter is the singer, it does bring more feeling to the song.

and i think that this latest offering from anathema is absolutely amazing.
i cant wait to hear the rest.
