I'd like to offer a huge thank you to everyone who made it out to Marietta last night for the Midsummer Meltdown and Tribute to Ronnie James Dio! \m/ The turnout was fantastic and the event was a great success for everyone involved. I saw nothing but big smiles at the end of the night, and that is why I love doing this!

One of my favorite moments happened as the final set was ending and a chant broke out of "HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!" ... LOL, for a moment there I thought I was at an ECW event.

but what an awesome night with 175 true metal fans enjoying local and regional acts who worked so hard to make this event a success. Thank you all!

and once again I must say... if you missed it, you f'n missed it!

Sadly, I missed it. I was feeling worn out and didn't go in to work any overtime in Atlanta, which would have been the 'jump point" to continue to Marietta afterward.

175 people is awesome! What's a sellout at The Local? Can't be too much more than that.....

here are some images of Seven Kingdoms on stage during their performance at the Midsummer Meltdown. There's a shot of the 100-120 count audience (we had 155 paying patrons and about 175 total audience throughout the night) about half way through the slide show. And you'll see my son Patrick Hoyt doing the Rainbow in the Dark duet with Sabrina among the pics. And check out Camden (guitarist) hamming it up. LOL I think he has been practicing the 'guitar god' facial expressions. hah hah

Amazing set of music and part of an awesome night of metal! Those in attendance got a sneak peek of Seven Kingdoms before their appearance at the Midweek Mayhem on the Wednesday before ProgPower USA. But not to worry - they will be mixing up their set a little bit, so you'll be in for some surprises.

and yes, Paul, 'fire marshall' capacity is rated to be 350 at the Local Concert venue. I think we comfortably had it half filled at our peak crowd of close to 150 early in the night.

Y'all blew me & my gf away!!! We LOVED everything y'all did!!!
Especially, the heavier more thrashier/power metal numbers
torwards the end!!! I'm so glad we finally got to see y'all!!!

for the longest time, cause he knew we'd LOVE y'all!!!
Now I can definitely see why!!!
