Axenrot is awesome.

just wondering if Axe is as much in to obscure prog music as the other members are ... no doubt he fits in, 'cause otherwise they wouldn't have chosen him. but seeing as he is a death metaldrummer and, as far as I know of, hasn't done anything really different, I'm curious to see how he will develop as a drummer. he will have to be more creative that's for sure ...

as for Mikael being involved with every beat, I think he didn't WRITE those drumlines (perhaps a rough outlining), but of course he will have supervised the writing of drumlines. the way I see it: Lopez listens to the material, tries to develop creative drumlines, and Mikael approves or makes suggestions for adjustment.
Mikael might be a musical genius, he still isn't a drummer! ;)

No, Mikael writes every drumbeat for every song on his pc before recording, and then Lopez changed some of them, added his own flavor to them, and brought in his own ideas, so you have it the other way around. Even though Mikael can't drum at all, he does have the mind of a drummer (that's what he said in an interview or some post here on this forum).

last time i saw them he almost made a REALY big mistake almost coming to early going into heavy out of soft, but i guess thats understandable having only recently learnt the songs
