There is one band that I've learned to hate SO fucking much I can't describe it. And one artist.
Foo Fighters, and David Grohl.
There is NOTHING more annoying and yankee-shit than Foo Fighters, their shows, videos, the group.. and of course, David Grohl's smile and face.
I also hate Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but that's another story, and likely doesn't belong on this forum. I only mentioned this because my hatered towards that show is so pure you could eat on it.

The one band I have an extreme dislike for..more than any other band: The Dave Matthews Band. Apparently, it's some unknown college rule for mostly everyone to listen to this whiney, folk-y, bullshit "frat-boy/jock" group, 'cause you can find DMB in almost everyone's dorm room. Don't know how the hell people can actually listen to that crap. The dude sounds like some random annoying drunk guy whose got an acoustic guitar.

Also, Dimmu Borgir's newest album kicks ass in my opinion. I'm so sick of hearing people slag them for unintentionally receiving an expanded fan base.

all this cradle and dimmu (both are great bands) bashing is pissing me off its not the fact people dont like them its the fact they say they cannot play their instruments well they can play them much better than that pile of shit band Mayhem (except for hellhammer) and before you flame me i am aware of what euronymous did for black metal and i respect that but i still belive mayhem are shit.

I like Glassjaw cause I think they're pretty creative. I like some Soulfly songs but alot of them are repetitive and boring. HAIL Slayer for taking thrash metal to a new level.

i agree with you there. I like slipknot as well, hell, if i hadn't started listening to them, i wouldn't be here. Although they are nu metal, they just aren't in the same league with linkin park and papa roach.

I've never seen the point in disliking people because of their taste in music! There might be some truth to what John Cusack says in High Fidelity "It's not what you're like, but what you like", but if I "grade" people on their taste in music I would hate everybody in the world, as everybody got different taste, as you've probably heard me say lots of times by now. I don't see why I should feel embarresed about listening to The Corrs for instance. They've made some crap songs, but I also think they've made some cool stuff. Shouldn't I feel embarresed about listening to metal also? I must admit that if there's one genre that I HAVE to feel embarressed about listening to (which I don't) it's probably metal. I find it more embarrassing listening to braindead grinding with people yelling and screaming their lungs out than sophisticated music with people who can actually sing.Originally posted by frog

-people who dont think arcturus are one of the best, most innovative bands ever

-how people go to arch enemy shows to drool over angela and not watch the amott brothers display their craft.

-how an awesome band will take 3 of the shittiest bands on tour with them, none of which even belong in the same category as the headlining band. (eg - arch enemy, sworn enemy and god forbid)
-people who act like they know so much about heavy metal, but clearly they dont know shit.
