OK so every Monday I cook something for my parents. For next week I've decided to make Bigos, the Polish national dish. It's a meat stew with loads of sauerkraut. The recipe I'm making recommends I serve it with mead or ale.

That sounds really nice! Come to Australia and cook for me

Went shopping today. Best we could find was Smithwick's imported Irish Ale. Hope it's good. We also got some Stella Artois.

It wasn't even about whether or not it was a shit beer, you stupid fuck, but whether or not it is a 'hipster' beer, which it clearly isn't.

Well on this forum, when people refer to something as "hipster," they usually mean that it sucks.

I've never had PBR so I only assumed.

Well, something hipster doesn't necessarily suck. It just means it is trendy, which PBR isn't trendy and if it is, it's been trendy for a few decades.

It's cheap beer, I don't know what more you'd expect. For what you pay, it's a fine light beer. Does the trick anyway. It's the kind of beer you'd drink while painting a house, or fixing a roof.

I recently tried a bottle of Fraoch Heather Ale and really enjoyed it. It has a very earthy and floral aroma and taste that might be a bit strange for many to appreciate, but I really liked it.
