Tidal and When the pawn...(the 2nd album) are fantastic, i like Tidal better. The new one is very good also. Her voice is so strong, and she is a very talented pianist...my faves from Tidal are ''Sleep to dream'', ''Sullen girl'', ''Shadowboxer'', ''Criminal'' and ''Never is a promise'', i enjoy ''The first taste'' but it is actually one of my least favourites from that album.

Fiona Apple is the one that got raped when she was 12, and as a result is something of a messed up adult. She has a husky, deep (and ubelievably sexy) voice, and writes melodic, slightly odd and yet totally accessible, fairly downbeat songs, that have a very raw sensuality to them.

'Desiderata' is quite different from the previous album. much heavier. the riffs are no repetitive and the songs are quite diverse. go and check this album out, as i will give 'Materia' some more spins

lmao, I'm not sure that being russian will be much help, considering the sorry state of modern russia's music scene.
hmmm... I don't think you've named more than 2-3 decent bands in the past 4 months, which is rather shabby, imo. I can do much better than that simply by browsing progarchives or asking for recs on the forum.
