Black Metal.

Om is good. I really like the atmosphere, use of traditional instruments, and the ambient and non-metal sections. I was let down by the riffs though. Skip Inarborat Kosmos, as it just features early, crappier versions of songs on Om.

Terrorizer think so.

Mind you, they (in)famously gave a Mithras album a 10/10 review.

I have that issue. The reviewer says some hilarious things. For instance...

"...they have just delivered probably the best release of any artist in the UK, of any genre of music - ever."

"Mithras will rise in the annals of music alongside such names as Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden, or Metallica circa 'Master of Puppets', or Morbid Angel for the sheer far reaching influence their music brings to the world."

"I've said it before and I will say it again: this is beyond. In fact this is beyond the ability of most bands. Not just for the now but for evermore. Essential."

Excellent album, but Terrorizer really created a monster there...

I don't understand why you say you want to hear it for comedic value...it's a really legitimately fucking great album...

I thought it was funny that no one on M-A even gave the album a 100%, where a quarter of all reviews are probably 100%s. It did sound interesting, and I'm sure it's not bad by any means. It would have to be pretty amazing for those comments in the review to not be laughable though.

So I want somebody to tell me whether the German band Dawnfall is worth hearing. I found this used cd of theirs called 'Drei Raum' at a record store and supposedly this album is really 'kvlt' and highly sought after and I guess it was rereleased by Supernal music in 2002. I could only find one review on it and it wasn't very helpful. I'm thinking it could be a really amazing hidden gem, but I think most likely it is probably total shit.

the production is fuzzy and ambient sounding on the album I have (Einsamer Winterweg), but I wouldn't say it's bad. Might be myspace ruining it, or maybe his other stuff has worse recording.

I have it too, bought it from Supernal some time ago... the production is horrific to the point where the music actually is compromised... It's not even shit in a cool way :erk:

That's funny because I'm listening to the Myspace now and can't hear anything wrong sounding with the track that's off the album you're discussing (last one)...sounded fine to me...
