Black Metal.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but I like this early 2010s Crepusculo Negro stuff quite a bit.

Ty, this is a bit more orthodox (in the vein of Scandinavian second wave stuff) than what I was specifically looking for, but it's a nice surprise and I love it. I like a lot of stuff that gets labeled as first wave too, a distinction I think is silly, but yea. I'm gonna listen to this album after I finish Rotting Christ-Non Serviam.

@Slayed Necros @WorldObliteration33 do either of you have any recs for filthy, riffy black metal with lots of midtempo/slower sections?? Like the Greek/Slavic stuff, Mystifier, etc. Black/death and black/doom are fine, even black/thrash. I just like black metal that I can headbang to, especially if it has like eerie Occult vibes. I know all the big names.
Hail - Inheritance of Evilness

Necromantic Worship

Possession

Cultes des Ghoules

Baxaxaxa

I'm less familiar with next couple but it's in the same realm

Moenen of Xezbeth

Perverted Ceremony

Probably more of this type of thing than ever these days but I haven't really kept up with black metal since around 2010

@Slayed Necros Hail is incredible, had a blast listening to that the other day and almost want to do it again.

Found on MA under similar artists. Another Finnish band, will probably listen to this next.

I never really got into that WAIL album. I own it though so I should probably give it another chance.
It was pretty good, it started strong, but my interest waned throughout the course of the album. The Hail album was pretty primal, stripped-down music, but everything was firing on all cylinders. W.A.I.L is a bit more ambitious, somewhat to its own downfall for me. Too much focus on frills like keyboards and unconventional riffs, not enough focus on getting all the basics down. /

I actually didn't finish it, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but it didn't blow me away, despite having some really good moments.

@Slayed Necros I'm giving Empalagon's LP a listen and enjoying it so far. Do you have any more headbangable black metal or black/death/thrash filth for me to check out over the next few days?
